“MAC Viva Glam 2011: Lady Gaga”
We were approached in the fall of 2011 by Autodesk to collaborate with House of Gaga designer Nicola Formichetti to create sample prints for the outfit Gaga would wear in the MAC Viva Glam campaign video. During the course of the collaboration it was decided that Lady Gaga’s face should be a prominant mask in the outfit, so we produced multiple prints in various sizes with unique make up designs. As the project moved along, the original concept of multiple masks was abandoned, but the designers wanted to maintain a Gaga face mask; it was placed on the shoulder of the outfit and was a central visual element in the video.
